We are glad you found us, regardless of how you did.  The big question that is probably on your mind is why we are here.  Why would someone buy such a strange domain name?  I’m going to get to that in a minute but first let me ask you something.  Have you ever found yourself wanting to contribute to something bigger than yourself?  I’m sure you have, you probably have already in your life.  But did you know exactly what it was?  Have you ever sent/contributed money to a group or organization because you wanted to help, and then wondered exactly what that money was used for, what difference it actually made?

Here at 200 Million Nickels we are about difference and being different.  We are dedicated to making a change, and we are all about doing it a little bit differently.

So what is 200 Million Nickels?  Well, the literal answer is $10,000,000.00, ten million dollars.  That is what we need, what we are hoping to raise through this website.  What could we possibly want to raise ten million dollars for?  Well, for one thing, to prove that it can be done, and to do it faster than imaginable.  But the real reason is this; we want to start a business.  It is that simple.  Though there is much more to it than that.  You may wonder why on Earth we need ten million dollars to start up a business when for just a few hundred thousand would start almost anything.  Let me explain.

First off, the business will not just be a single business, but a multiple location business, somewhat like McDonalds there is more than one of those around, you may be able to count several just in your own town.  The business will be centralized around technology.  I must be vague about this as to protect the idea, many businesses have been doomed from the planning phases by others taking the idea and running with it first.  The business itself is not all that important anyway; the importance comes in the people, the recruiting/hiring for this business.  We are looking to raise enough capital to launch several locations in a very short time frame without going bankrupt and without the need for traditional lending or investors.  The plan is this, with the exception of those working together to organize and launch the business, all of the employees will be taken right off the street.  I don’t mean that we are going to pound the pavement and recruit people right on the street, I mean it in the context of those people that are actually on the street; the millions of homeless and less fortunate citizens that we have right here within our country that need nothing more than a chance.  In addition to employment there will be formalized on-the-job and instructor led training for employees in the technology arena to help the employee better themselves through education.  But wait there’s more!  Housing will also be provided as well as transportation to assist those employees and their families in rebuilding their lives, this in addition to a paycheck.
